24/03/23 – Friday Horse Racing Tips for Moonee Valley

We have expert betting tips for the card this Friday at Moonee Valley that features eight quality betting races.

It’s a Group 1 night at The Valley, and we have our best horse racing tips available.

Moonee Valley horse racing tips

Race 1. (18:15) Ascend Sales Trophies BM70 (1600m)

#8 – Cap De Joie @ $2.90

Cap De Joie doesn’t know how to run a bad race after posting two wins and four placings from seven starts.

The four-year-old mare comes off three consecutive second placings. She keeps finding one better, but she has been facing tough fields.

The Nick Ryan-trained runner has every chance to get back to winning form on Friday night.

Race 2. (18:45) Regency Fireplaces BM64 (1200m)

#10 – Our Goddess @ $5.50

Our Goddess runs at value odds considering she owns two wins from three starts this preparation.

The four-year-old mare by Shalaa didn’t fire at The Valley two back, but she rebounded with a win at Pakenham.

Barrier three is ideal and we expect her to be fighting out the finish.

Race 3. (19:15) Brix Property Valley Pearl (1200m)

#5 – Coast Princess @ $7

Coast Princess scored narrowly at Pakenham last start and punters get value each-way odds again.

The two-year-old daughter of Russian Revolution paid $11 on that occasion, so she wasn’t being respected with bookmakers.

We’re happy with the $7 available, so snap it up before it shortens.

Race 4. (19:45) Casper Pies & Pastries BM64 (2040m)

#1 – Golden Crusader @ $4.20

Golden Crusader owns two wins and four placings from 10 starts, so we’re happy to put him on top of our selections.

The five-year-old son of Golden Horn comes off a third placing at The Valley, so he now knows the track and is ready to fire.

Getting the inside draw with a 3kg claimer riding adds weight to his chances.

Race 5. (20:15) BMD Group Sunline Stakes (1600m)

#1 – Barb Raider @ $5

Barb Raider has been below her best but we’re happy to give her another chance.

She’s classy at best and she ran second at her only start at The Valley, so that bodes well for a big run.

Barrier four should see her get a nice sit behind the speed, and staying at the mile seems to be the best distance for her.

Race 6. (20:45) Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge BM84 (955m)

#8 – Foxicon @ $2.70

Foxicon comes off consecutive wins at The Valley and we see no reason why she can’t win again.

The four-year-old mare won easily by 3.3 lengths last time out, so she’s classy, and dropping to 53kg is a steal.

We expected her odds to be shorter given her recent form.

Race 9. (21:45) Dynamic Print Group Australia (1600m)

#1 – Papillon Club @ $2.10

Papillon Club started her preparation with consecutive wins before placing at Flemington in subsequent runs.

The three-year-old daughter of Toronado was only a nose behind the winner last start, which was Revolutionary Miss.

That form could be franked from earlier in the card, so we like that form guide.
