Best shops for Christmas shopping in and around Bolton
While some locals suggested it was best to avoid Bolton and shop elsewhere due to its lack of shops, others said shopping in the town would help.
One said: “Shop in Bolton or it dies Stop being prima Donna’s”.
Another said: “I’ll be using Bolton town centre as much as I can to support our local businesses and local jobs.”
Horwich was mentioned by one local who said: “Horwich is always worth a trip. Some small businesses that have that ‘extra touch’ I particular love Analyse a little wax melts and homemade smellies it’s lovely xx always somewhere to grab lunch too round about xx”.
Another said: “Horwich has nice gift shops”.
A third recommended the town, saying: “Horwich. Independent shops, some lovely places to eat & drink, and easy to get to by bus if you want to leave the car at home.”
Someone else commented: “love Horwich for shopping too. Ruby Rose Clothing Boutique is my fav, although I tend to buy more for myself than anyone else lol”.
Blackpool was also suggested by locals with one saying: “Love Blackpool we go every year x”.
Others mentioned Manchester, including the Trafford Centre and the Arndale.
The likes of Bury and Chorley were also mentioned: “Horwich is fantastic. Bury is lovely and so is Chorley”.
