In a bid to rebuild consumer trust in the Black Friday sales, Currys has introduced a price guarantee, ensuring that none of the products in its Black Friday sale have been cheaper in the past six months.

With research revealing that over half of shoppers doubt the authenticity of discounts, I think it’s a nice way to give shoppers confidence that they’re getting an actual deal, though I’ll of course be highlighting the top savings at the retailer (it might be cheaper elsewhere).

Whether you’re looking to upgrade your TV, score a new laptop, grab a pair of cheap wireless headphones, a powerful vacuum cleaner or a new phone, I’m rounding up the best deals at Currys this Black Friday.

PlayStation 5 Slim digital edition console: Was £389, now £310, Currys.co.uk

(Sony)

The PlayStation 5 Slim digital edition has received its first big price drop since launching last year, bringing it down to just £310 for the first time. Boasting the same power as the original PS5 but in a sleeker, more compact design, it’s perfect for both newcomers and seasoned gamers looking to upgrade. Salter EK4548 dual air fryer: Was £137, now £84.99, Currys.co.uk

(Currys)

This dual-drawer Salter air fryer was ranked the best overall when pitting it against 13 others. “It covers all bases with its relatively large baskets, countless cooking options and incredibly easy-to-use design,” wrote our air fryer expert. For a foodie who needs a one-stop shop to cook everything from steak to cakes – even having the ability to break bread – snap this air fryer up while the deals are on.

(LG)

LG’s class-leading TV has just received a huge £400 price cut at Currys for Black Friday. “It features pin-sharp picture and excellent brightness levels that look realistic and persuasive, and the picture quality is outstanding,” tech critic David Phelan said in his review. Plus, it’s also strong for gaming, “thanks to a game optimiser menu,” he added.

(Dyson)

Say goodbye to dust bunnies with the Dyson V8 advanced at Currys this Black Friday. Touted as Dyson’s most powerful V8 yet, it offers 40 minutes of fade-free runtime and traps 99.99 per cent of microscopic particles. Interiors writer Siobhan loved the similar V8 absolute for its powerful motor and cyclone tech, and with this chic design, it’s a cleaning must-have.

Bosch series 6 WGG254Z0GB washing machine: Was £649, now £499, Currys.co.uk

(Bosch)

There’s a £150 saving to be had on this white Bosch series 6 washing machine at Currys, which has a number of wash modes, including a “super quick” feature for when you’re running late to the office and need a quick 15-minute cycle, and a “speed perfect” option, which cuts washing times by up to 65 per cent. When we tested another model of the series 6, what impressed us the most was the “iron assist” setting, which steams the laundry load inside the machine. This “helps washing come out of the machine with relatively few creases – so you might not even need to iron it before you put it away,” our tester wrote.

Dyson supersonic hair dryer: Was £329.99, now £249.99, Currys.co.uk

(Dyson)

Beauty buffs will already know the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, and if you’ve been coveting the cult-favourite tool, I come bearing good news – it’s currently £80 off at Currys. Featured in Lauren’s round-up of the [ best hair dryers, she praised its “incredibly lightweight design, which delivers a real punch of power for fast drying times”. Not marked as a Black Friday sale because it’s been cheaper in the past, but it’s still a great saving.

Shark anti-hair wrap with pet tool cordless vacuum cleaner: Was £399, now £229, Currys.co.uk

(Currys)

With a massive saving of £170, Shark’s brilliant cordless vacuum cleaner with anti-hair wrap technology will stop your hoover from getting clogged when you’re cleaning up. You get 60 minutes on a single charge, so it’s great for bigger homes. Shark vacuums always feature in The Independent’s round-ups – they’re super reliable machines.

Ninja Foodi AF400UK 9.5l dual-zone air fryer: Was £229.99, now £149, Currys.co.uk

(The Independent)

Everyone wants an air fryer this Black Friday and, alongside the Salter one above, this Ninja Foodi model has got to be one of the best. Appliance tester Lauren dubbed it her favourite dual-zone iteration in her guide to the best air fryers, wowing at the fact that both drawers can be active on different settings. She found this to be “very handy when cooking a whole meal” and added that “you can even sync the drawers to be ready at the same time.” Thanks to the hefty discount, now’s the ample time to give your chips and chicken a crispy upgrade.

De’longhi dedica EC685BK coffee machine: Was £179.99, now £149.99, Currys.co.uk

(De’longhi)

While I haven’t reviewed this model myself, my fellow IndyBest teammate assured me that the dedica is a solid choice for those looking for an affordable alternative to the likes of Sage, without compromising on flavour. Owning the machine herself, she explained that – though affordable, with £30 off – it’s easy to level-up to a premium bit of kit with a just few accessories. However, if you’re just after an easy brew, the dedica will have you covered, too.

Breville one-touch coffeehouse coffee machine: Was £349, now £169.99, Currys.co.uk

(Breville)

You can currently enjoy £180 off this Breville coffee machine. When coffee expert Zoe reviewed it, she noted that “you can choose from espresso, latte or cappuccino and the milk is frothed automatically”. She added that she liked how the milk canister can be stored in the fridge to keep it fresh, rather than faffing about with decanting it back into the bottle each time.

(Oral-B)

Making its way onto tech writer Steve’s review of the best electric toothbrushes, the Oral-B iO3 is the most affordable option in Oral-B’s premium iO range. Using the same quiet oscillating motor as the rest of the series, it delivers the same impressive cleaning performance at a fraction of the price. So, what’s the trade-off? The iO3 has fewer brushing modes, a shorter battery life, no LED screen, and skips the smart features. If you can live without those extras, it’s a steal at £49.95 at Currys.

Save a whopping £40 on Ring’s third-generation doorbell in the Currys Black Friday sale. An upgrade on the second-generation model, this version boasts improved motion detection and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity for a more reliable connection. Home appliance writer Zoe crowned the second-gen Ring doorbell her best buy, and the third-generation model improves on it in several ways. “This iteration of the Ring doorbell is still up there with one of the best around,” she said.
